St Joseph?

Today we should be celebrating the feast of St Joseph, but the diocese have messed up the Ordo (again), leaving priests with a dilemma. Do we celebrate with the Universal Church or with the Church of Arundel and Brighton? My instinct would have been to go with the former, except that the mistake in the Ordo was not discovered in this parish until it was too late to inform people of the feast. So, the Adur Valley will have to keep St Joseph on 31st March and the Annunciation on 1st April.

Fortunately we noticed just in time here in Banstead, largely thanks to the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal who are currently with us to give a Parish Mission. We were able to celebrate the Solemnity in style with the Community leading us in Evening Prayer 1 last night and Morning Prayer this morning, in addition to enjoying hymns and sung responses at Mass this morning.

Wouldn't the Annunciation take precedence over St. Joseph?

I am more confused as to the PCED "clarification" - can people adhering to the older form of the Roman rite celebrate St. Joseph on April 1st or not?

Mac: I certainly would have thought so.
Ottaviani: Sorry, I don't know.
