Small point of correction. The picture of Pope Francis isn't from the trip to the Philippines. It is actually from a secular event in Argentina. I think it is from a dance group thanking Pope Francis for his support.
Very over the top, moreover, the picture is not in a any way flattering to our pope, who of course can not control things like these to occur. In the name of inculturation, the Church will have to accept many things but this goes much too far and is boredering on idolatry. Should the Vatican take a stand in order to prevent appalling pictures like these in the future.
No wonder Protestantism is making such inroads into the Church in the Philippines. They claim we are idolaters and if I knew no better I would agree after seeing this monstrosity.
